The memories and smells are still vivid—walking up three steps to their kitchen, my Nonna in her house dress, stockings held up by garter clips, cash tucked in her bra, and chin hairs to her chest. My cheeks are still sore from all the pinching. “Che Faccia Bella!” was said repeatedly, a common Italian phrase expressing love and admiration.

This club is a tribute to my Italian foundation: my Papa Giuseppe, Nonna Graciella, and Zia Concetta. I grew up cooking with my Nonna and Zia on Sundays when I was three years old, standing on a stool to stir the sauce.

Pull up a chair, pour a glass of wine, and experience the magic of Italian cuisine and culture with me and the Sunday Sauce Social Club!
